The system is a straight-through design providing substantial improvements to gas flow over the factory exhaust. Our innovative muffler can design provides maximum volume with the exhaust valve open for a true sport sound. This exhaust delivers a wide-open sound, a solid 15+hp boost and key gains in the midrange with the valve open while the sound comes out non intrusive with a rich mellow tone with the valve closed. Just like replacing the BMW factory rear exhaust, the Active Autowerke BMW Performance rear exhaust does it in much the same way, if not better by using a much beefier, heavy duty TORCA style exhaust clamp.
